Covid Virus "Survives for 28 days” on Surfaces in Lab Conditions

“The findings from Australia's national science agency suggest SARS-Cov-2 can survive for far longer than thought.

However, the experiment was conducted in the dark. UV light has already been shown to kill the virus.”

The study showed that the virus can survive on surfaces for up to 28 days at 20 degrees Celcius (68 Farenheit). That time period is decreased to one day at 40 degrees Celcius (104 Farenheit).

The surfaces tested were glass, stainless steel and both paper and polymer banknotes.
