Inception of BioHack UV

The idea of BioHack UV started in a law office in Los Angeles, California. The employees used the same restrooms, door handles, elevator buttons, and then sat at their computers, touching keyboards. If one employee caught the flu, it was only a matter of time until the entire floor was sick, with many employees out sick. This led to holiday seasons where an entire office floor of attorneys were scrambling to keep up with their case loads and family lives.

In late 2018, Scientific Reports, a peer reviewed journal was published, demonstrating the effectiveness of UV-C light in fighting viruses, bacteria and mold and at the same time demonstrating its safety for human skin and eyes.

Pandemic Effects

When the pandemic hit in March of 2020, catching a cold went from being an inconvenience to being a potentially life threatening. With every hospital purchasing UV-C lamps, genuine UV-C bulbs are now in extremely short supply with several month delays and exorbitant costs.
